"رحّالتنا في هذا الكتاب "جول حرفيه كورتيلّمون" Jules Gervais- Courtellemont مصوّر فوتوغرافي فرنسي كان مقيماً في الجزائر بأواخر القرن التاسع عشر، وكان واحداً من الفرنسيين الذين هاموا بالمشرق وأحبوا حياته الرومانسية العابقة بصدق المشاعر وأصالة الأخلاق والقيم الإنسانية، أثاره قيام القنصل الفرنسي "ليون روش" Léon Roche في عام 1841 برحلة حج من الجزائر إلى مكّة المكّرمة، فقرّر في "رحّالتنا في هذا الكتاب "جول حرفيه كورتيلّمون" Jules Gervais- Courtellemont مصوّر فوتوغرافي فرنسي كان مقيماً في الجزائر بأواخر القرن التاسع عشر، وكان واحداً من الفرنسيين الذين هاموا بالمشرق وأحبوا حياته الرومانسية العابقة بصدق المشاعر وأصالة الأخلاق والقيم الإنسانية، أثاره قيام القنصل الفرنسي "ليون روش" Léon Roche في عام 1841 برحلة حج من الجزائر إلى مكّة المكّرمة، فقرّر في عام 1894 القيام برحلة مماثلة على خطاه، ليختبر بنفسه هذه التجربة الرّوحيّة الفريدة، وسافر بجواز سفر يحمل اسم: عبد الله بن البشير. يروي لنا كورتيلّمون في هذا الكتاب الممتع وقائع رحلته إلى مكّة المكرّمة لأداء فريضة الحجّ، وكذلك إلى المدينة المنورة للصّلاة في المسجد النبوي الشريف والتشرّف بالسلام على رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وي
