ثاني كتب سلسلة "سوريا الهلنستية" وهو عبارة عن مجموعة مختارة من قصائد الشاعر السوري ميلياغروس الجداري عن دار التكوين للطباعة والنشر في دمشق، من ترجمة عادل خالد الديري وراجعه وعلق حواشيه تيسير خلف.
تعرض في الكتاب حياة الشاعر السوري ميلياغروس بن إيوقراطيس، مرفقة بترجمة غنيّة ودقيقة لقصائده باللغة العربية، كماويرد فيه بملحقان هامان أحدهما هو ترجمة مقدمة شعرية كتبها بنفسه لأشهر ثاني كتب سلسلة "سوريا الهلنستية" وهو عبارة عن مجموعة مختارة من قصائد الشاعر السوري ميلياغروس الجداري عن دار التكوين للطباعة والنشر في دمشق، من ترجمة عادل خالد الديري وراجعه وعلق حواشيه تيسير خلف.
تعرض في الكتاب حياة الشاعر السوري ميلياغروس بن إيوقراطيس، مرفقة بترجمة غنيّة ودقيقة لقصائده باللغة العربية، كماويرد فيه بملحقان هامان أحدهما هو ترجمة مقدمة شعرية كتبها بنفسه لأشهر اعماله (الإكليل)، والثاني هو دراسة نقدية لإحدى أهم قصائده والتي اخترناها عنواناً للكتاب " إن كنت سورياً... سلام".
ولد ميلياغروس وترعرع في مدينة جَدارا السورية، التي تتوزع اراضيها الآن بين الجولان وشمالي الاردن على ضفتي اليرموك.. ثم انتقل للعيش في مدينة صور ومنها انتقل إلى جزيرة كوس اليونانية حيث أمضى بقية حياته. وهو من الشعراء أصحاب الأثر العظيم على بنية وأسلوب الشعر المكتوب باليونانية، وقد جمع أول أنطولوجيا شعرية في التاريخ وأسماها (الإكليل) وهي أيضاً شهيرة بـ(الأنطلوجيا الإغريقية) اقتُبس عنها بغزارة وإعجاب فائقين في عصر النهضة الأوروبية وصولاً إلى تأثيره المباشر على الشعر الأمريكي والإنكليزي في مرحلة الريادة الشعرية. كما ألف أعمال غير شعرية دعيت بالـ(صلوات).
يشتهر ميلياغروس بفرادة أسلوبه وإبداعه بما لا يشبه غيره، فهو رائد الشعر الإيروسي كأول من تبنى تصوير آلهة إيروس وفينوس للرغبة والحب ضمن القصائد الشعرية ومخاطبتهم بلغة العتاب والجدل، حتى ان أحدا من معاصريه لم يطرقها من بعده لفترة طويله بسبب إشباعه لصورها بكل احتمالاتها. كما يشتهر بدوره في نشر أسلوب معلمه مينيبوس الشهير بأسلوب السخرية المينيبية، ويعد بشخصه مصدر إلهام كل شخصية من أتباعها لأنه جسدها بشكل كامل.
