يعد كتاب "دعامة اليقين في زعامة المتقين" لأبي العباس العزفي ثالث كتاب ضمن سلسلة الكتب المعروفة التي ألفها المغاربة في مناقب صلحاء المغرب بعد كتابي "المستفاد في مناقب العباد بمدينة فاس وما يليها من البلاد" للتميمي، وكتاب" التشوف إلى رجال التصوف" لابن الزيات التادلي.
وقد قصد المؤلف من الكتاب “"دعامة اليقين- ذكر أخبار الشيخ الشهير أبي يعزى يلنور، فتوسع في ذكر أخباره، وجعلها وا يعد كتاب "دعامة اليقين في زعامة المتقين" لأبي العباس العزفي ثالث كتاب ضمن سلسلة الكتب المعروفة التي ألفها المغاربة في مناقب صلحاء المغرب بعد كتابي "المستفاد في مناقب العباد بمدينة فاس وما يليها من البلاد" للتميمي، وكتاب" التشوف إلى رجال التصوف" لابن الزيات التادلي.
وقد قصد المؤلف من الكتاب “"دعامة اليقين- ذكر أخبار الشيخ الشهير أبي يعزى يلنور، فتوسع في ذكر أخباره، وجعلها واسطة عقد كتابه. جاء في مقدمة الكتاب: ".. أشار علي من أمرهما رشيد ممثل، وبسرورهما وفضلهما يضرب المثل، أن أجمع من كرامات الشيخ الصالح بقية الأولياء، السابق في حلبة الأصفياء، أبي يعزى يلنور بن عبد الرحمن بن أبي بكر الأيلاني..ما صح منها بالتواتر والاستفاضة. وما تقرر لدي عند البحث بالمجاراة فيها والإفاضة وما بلغني منها على حكم الإسناد، وتهذيبه عند النقاد، أو الإرسال عن الأفاضل الثقات، والصالحين ذوي الثقاة. فلبيت دعوتهم المرضية، وحمدت همتهم العلوية، وشكرت الله تعالى حين جعل أمراءنا من صالحينا، ووفقهم للمنافسة في الحقائق والمعارف والفضائل والعوارف حينا فحينا."
ويعد الشيخ أبي يعزى يلنور من الشخصيات التي حظيت باهتمام واسع في كتب المناقب، إذ قلما تجد كتابا من هذه الكتب يخلو من ذكر أخبار هذا الشيخ. بل إن هذا الاهتمام نلاحظه حتى في كتب طبقات المشارقة. كما أفرد أبو العباس أحمد بن أبي القاسم بن محمد الشعبي الصومعي التادلي في نهاية المائة العاشرة للهجرة مصنفا لذكر أخبار أبي يعزى نقلا عمن تقدموا، وسماه "المعزى في مناقب الشيخ أبي يعزى".
