تتناول سلسلة 180 درجة للدكتور اوسم وصفي الموجهة للشباب موضوعات نفسية واجتماعية من منظور مسيحي، وتم استخدام اسم “180 درجة” لهذه السلسلة لأنه يجب على كل قارىء يبحث عن المعرفة أن يكون مستعدا لتغيير توجهه والنظر إلى الأمور من زاوية جديدة ربما تكون مختلفة 180 درجة. إنَّ الحبَّ كلمةٌ هائلة؛ لكنَّنا غالبًا ما نستخدمها دون التركيز على معانيها. وللحبِّ أنواع عديدة نحتاج إليها كلِّها. فهناك حبُّ العِشرة الذي قد يجمع بين كلِّ البشر، وحبُّ الصداقة المبني على الاتفاق والانسجام الفكريِّ والعمليّ. كما أنَّ هناك أيضًا الحبُّ الرومانسيُّ والجنسيّ، وهو ما يربط الرجل والمرأة برباطٍ قويّ، ويكوِّن الأسرة والمجتمع. وفوق كلِّ ذلك يتربَّع الحبُّ غير المشروط على عرش هرم الحبّ، إذ إنَّه يمكِّننا من أن نحبَّ الإنسانَ لأنَّه إنسانٌ مهما كان جنسه أو لونه أو دينه، وإن فعل ما يرضينا أم لم يفعل. يعبِّر الحبُّ غير المشروط عن أقصى وأعمق احتياجٍ بالنسبة إلى الإنسان، حيث إنَّه يوفِّر لنا الأمان الذي نحتاجه كي ما ننمو ونتجاوز كلَّ خوفٍ وكلِّ خزي ناشئ عن إنسانيَّتنا غير الكاملة. إنَّه حبُّ الأمِّ والأب لطفلهما الرضيع الذي لا يقوى على القيام بأيِّ أمر؛ وهو حبُّ الله للإنسان الناقص النازع إلى الخطية. إنَّ الله ذاتَه محبَّة، وهو في علاقة محبَّة سرمديَّة بذاته وكذلك بنا نحن البشر. يحتاج الإنسان إلى الحبِّ كي يتصالح مع ذاته، إذ لا بدَّ من أن يكون متصالحًا مع ذاته كي يتمكَّن من أن يحبّ. إنَّ الحبَّ هو ما يجعلنا بشرًا ودونه نفقد قيمتنا الحقيقيَّة كبشر.
