تفسير التحرير و التنوير هو الاسم المختصر لكتاب (تحرير المعنى السديد و تنوير العقل الجديد من تفسير الكتاب المجيد) لمؤلفه العالم التونسي محمد الطاهر بن عاشور المتوفى عام 1973، هو من التفاسير المتأخرة، يعتبر من أهم التفاسير التي كتبها المعاصرون، يصب اهتماما كبيرا على وجوه الإعجاز البلاغي و أساليبها و استعمال اللغة و ربط الآي ببعضها و بيان أغراض السور، أتى فيه بما هو جديد، و استغرقته كتابته أربعين عاما... فانتهى بثلاثين جزءا...
يقول عن تفسيره في مقدمته: [فجعلت حقا علي أن أبدي في تفسير القرآن نكتا لم أر من سبقني إليها وأن أقف موقف الحكم بين طوائف المفسرين تارة لها وآونة عليها فإن الاقتصار على الحديث المعاد تعطيل لفيض القرآن الذي ما له من نفاد. ولقد رأيت الناس حول كلام الأقدمين أحد رجلين: رجل معتكف فيما شاده الأقدمون، وآخر آخذ بمعوله في هدم ما مضت عليه القرون وفي كلتا الحالتين ضر كثير، وهنالك حالة أخرى ينجبر بها الجناح الكسير وهي أن نعمد إلى ما أشاده الأقدمون فنهذبه ونزيده، وحاشا أن ننقضه أو نبيده عالما بأن غمض فضلهم كفران للنعمة وجحد مزايا سلفها ليس من حميد خصال الأمة فالحمد لله الذي صدق الأمل ويسر إلى هذا الخير ودل.]
