في عمله هذا، يقدم الأستاذ راشد شاز مطارحات فكرية يناقش من خلالها عقيدة المسلمين الخالدة، تلك التي جاءت في صورة القرآن الكريم والتي انبنى على أساسها دستور الإسلام الموحد. وفي هذا الإطار يتحرى الكاتب أسباب الإلتباسات الفكرية الطارئة على جوهر الدين الحنيف والتي تفرقت الأمة بسببها إلى مذاهب وفرق وطوائف في مرحلة من مراحل التاريخ الإسلامي. لذلك كله يرى الكاتب "إن وجود تباين في الرؤى والأفكار بين البشر ليس بمذموم، ولكن صبغه صبغة عقائدية، وظهور فرق وطوائف متفرقة بناء على التفسيرات المختلفة أمر مذموم للغاية، وثمرة للإبتلاء بالشرك (...)" وحتى لا تقع الأمة بالشرك ويضيع الجيل الجديد في عصر الانترنت ويقع تحت تأثير تيارات وأحزاب وإيديولوجيات لا علاقة لها بالإسلام الصحيح يتوجب على المسلمين "اكتشاف قالب الإسلام الموحد والمفقود وتنقيحه من جديد الآن إنما هو مسؤولية دينية مشتركة على كافة فرق وطوائف المسلمين. (...) ومن هنا يهدف إصدار هذا الكتاب – والكلام للكاتب – إلى تسريع عملية الإكتشاف هذه، وسنحاول أن تجتمع فرق الأمة المختلفة وتتشاور من أجل استعادة ثروتها الفكرية الحقيقية وإعادة إعمار هويتها المشتركة (...). ويمكن أن تمهد بداية الحوارات بين الأديان، وبين الفرق، بل وبين الجماعات، وبين المذاهب الطريق نحو تحقيق هذا الهدف وتذلل الصعاب الحائلة دونه، وإذا عزمت جميع الفرق ... على العودة إلى مأمنها الحقيقي أي الإسلام الحنيف، فمن الممكن بدء جهود مشتركة مستأنفة في هذا الصدد ...".
