"لم ألدك تحت النخلة ولم يسقط رطب حولي. أما ابوك فلقد كان .. وكان. وترك لك هناك، تحت الدكة الثابتة تلك، مذكراته. لقد كان بحاراً فاشلاً، قاربه ما زال متروكاً على طرف السور العالي". عندما نقرأ "نصر سامي" نجد أنه يكتب في فضاء التجربة الحرة بأسلوب أدبي يمتلك قوة اللغة وملكة الإبداع معاً، مستخدماً ببراعة تقنية تداعي الأفكار والتلاعب بالزمن تقديمه وتأخيره، وهذه الطريقة انتشرت سابقاً في الكتابات الألمانية والأمريكية في نهاية السبعينات. لقد وضعنا الروائي في هذه السيرة النثرية أمام موضوعة الأنثى، الأنثى الأم بكل محمولاتها البدائية والمعرفية والروحية، في إشارات دالة على حواء الأنثى الأولى – الخطيئة – بالمعنى الأشمل للكلمة. "وتذكرت حواء" ( ... ) "هكذا إذن كان والدي فكر ميم وهو يقرأ ظواهر الكون كلها خداع" .. "ولا شيء. وحدها القداسة كانت تنزع برنسها الملكي وتكشف عن فتناتها. ويغرق الأفق بالفراش والحمائم الصغيرة، واللذائذ ..". "الآيات الأخرى" نصوص روائية مفتوحة ومتعددة المستويات والطبقات، كتبت باحترافية عالية وبكل ما يتطلبه هذا الجنس الأدبي من أدوات، ما يترك للقارىء حرية التأويل والترجمة بحسب الموقع الذي ينتمي إليه وبحسب ثقافته .. فكان عملاً أدبياً يحسد التجربة الإنسانية العامة بكل تمفصلاتها .. جدير بالقراءة.
