حرب قذرة لوثت كل شيء جميل في لبنان، فلم تسلم بقعة من بقاعه من لوثة البارود وحمم الصواريخ وقذائف المدافع فتجفل النسور والعقبان وتصرع الثعالب والأرانب حتى في أوكارها ووُكَنِها. بعد هذه المحنة انتشر نبأ مأساتنا تحت كل كوكب وصارت قصتنا على كل لسان... وهذه المجموعة القصصية القصيرة تسرد بعض مآسي الأيام الجحيمية التي عانت المؤلفة بعضاً من فصولها ولاحقت أخبارها المفجعة في صفحات الجرائد، فكتبتها وعنونتها بـ"الكوميديا الشيطانية" مستلهمة هذا العنوان من وحي الشيطان الذي يخطط ويدبر ويعصف ليحرق ويعصوا.
وهذه القصص بمجموعها تمثل عملاً أدبياً خالداً خطّ سطور مأساة شعب الهدف منها تثقيف الناشئة وتنمية عقولهم، وتغذية أفكارهم بالعديد من الألفاظ والتعابير اللغوية التربوية الهادفة وقد ألحقت هذه القصة ببعض الأسئلة التي يناقش من خلالها الناشئ الأفكار والمعاني التي جاءت في سياق النص.
الثأر والعفو، والجريمة والعقاب، والشجاعة والجبن، والمضحك والمبكي. وإلى ذلك كلّه: الإنسان المقهور، المتمرّد، المتعالي على الجراح، هذه وغيرها تجدها في هذه القصص الإنسانيّة الخمس المستوحاة من مأساة "لبنان": "الكابوس"، "كاوبوي في الضيعة"، "بسمة الانتصار"، "ثمن السيّارة"، "إبليس يدخل الجنّة؟".
