أصدر مركز الجزيرة للدراسات كتابا جديدا بعنوان: دليل البحوث الأكاديمية حول الجزيرة 1996-2011، قامت بإعداده الزميلة سارة نصر وأشرف عليه الأستاذ عز الدين عبد المولى الباحث بالمركز. ويقدم الكتاب، الموزع إلى ثلاثة أقسام رئيسية، عرضا لجميع أطروحات الدكتوراه ورسائل الماجستير فضلا عن الكتب الذي كانت الجزيرة موضوعا لها منذ نشأتها إلى الآن. وقد تم رصد إحدى وستين أطروحة دكتوراه في القسم الأول، ومنهجية المؤلف تقوم على ذكر عنوان الأطروحة واسم الباحث وجامعته والدولة التي بها هذه الجامعة وسنة إنجاز العمل ولغته ثم ملخص شامل لهذا العمل ويعطي رؤية متكاملة لمضمون الأطروحة. أما القسم الثاني الذي اتبع في المؤلف نفس المنهجية مركزا على نفس العناصر فهو خاص برسائل الماجستير التي تناولت شبكة الجزيرة وتم ذكر اثنتين وخمسين رسالة ماجستير. أما الكتب، وتم رصدها في القسم الثالث والأخير من الكتاب، فقد أورد الدليل منها تسعة وأربعين نصا. وقد ركز المؤلف عند ذكر كل كتاب على: إيراد صورة مصغرة لغلافه، وإلى جانبها عنوانه، ومؤلفه، وسنة النشر، والجهة الناشرة، ولغة الكتاب، وعدد صفحاته، فضلا عن تقديم مفصل للكتاب، ونبذة موجزة عن مؤلفه أو مؤلفيه إن كان له أكثر من مؤلف واحد. وهذا العمل الأول من نوعه في تاريح الجزيرة يهدف إلى رصد البحوث الأكاديمية المنجزة أو المسجلة في الجامعات العربية والعالمية حول شبكة الجزيرة. والدليل بهذا الخصوص يضع أمام الطلاب والباحثين أداة بحث منهجية توسع دائرة معارفهم عن الجزيرة، كما تمنعهم -عند السعي إلى اختيار مواضيع عن هذه الشبكة- من تكرار عمل سبق وأن انجز أو هو في طور الإنجاز. كما أن هذا الدليل يفيد شبكة الجزيرة نفسها حيث يوضح صدى ما تقوم به الجزيرة من جهد إعلامي لدى الجامعات وهيئات البحث العملي والأكاديمي، كما يجسد حضورها وتأثيرها.
