بطل هذه القصة شاب أسمر البشرة معقد من سمرته الداكنة نشأ يتيم الأبوين في كنف الياس البعلبكي الذي كان شريك والده في الأعمال التجارية، فترعرع ضعيف الشخصية عديم الثقة بنفسه، لاحقته أزماته الشخصية داخل المدرسة الثانوية حتى تعرف بزميلة له نفحت فيه روح المبادرة فقلبت حياته رأساً على عقب. وحول محمود وشخصيته الفنية بالمتناقضات، تدور أحداث القصة وأبطالها لينتهي المطاف بهم جميعاً، ومحمود في مقدمتهم، أمام جدار سميك هو القدر بعينه.
فترة الشباب، ركن متين تبنى عليه حياة كل إنسان وهي الأهم والأخطر، وقلما تمر إلا وتحمل قلقاً أو ضياعاً وخاصة إذا كانت في بيئة متناقضة.
"إنه قدري" تروي قصة شاب، كان يمر بذلك القلق والضياع، وقد وهبته بد الغيب لمسة حنان وحب من زميلة له، جعلته يبني حياته من جديد وينطلق، ثم يندمج قلباهما بحب صادق عفيف، ولكن ذلك كان له ثمن...!
قصة "إنه قدري" ليست تسلية وتخديراً ولا إيقاظاً للغرائز بل هي تعبير عن إدراك وإحساس من إنسان أثخنته الأيام بالجراح، فلملمها الحب وشفاه، وأضاء أمامه درب الحياة كما يجب أن تكون.
موضوع القصة شيق يلذ القارىء، وتدفعه إلى متابعة القصة بلهفة وشوق، لما فيها من الحب الشريف ومظاهر الشهامة والغيرة والطموح، قصة اجتماعية فيها الموعظة والعبرة، تدعو إلى الإيمان والتسليم بقضاء الله وقدره، فيها الحب الصادق فيها الوفاء والتضحية والتسامح.
عاشقان تعانقا قلباهما، ولكن فرقتهما متناقضات فكان شعار بينهما سماه المجتمع (المستحيل) فولدت كلمتان مبللتان بالدم والدموع كتبهما قلبان هما: "إنه قدري"...
