سيرة حياة الرجل النبيل والموسيقي فرانسيس تريجيان ومغامراته السرية تعرفت على فرانسيس تريجيان في 25 أيار 1986 في زيورخ خلال حفل استقبال. وكان ذلك اليوم بداية انطلاق شهر حزيران الثقافي في زيورخ. عام 1986 كان مخصصاً للموسيقى القادمة من مجموعة فيتزويليام دو كامبريدج والتي تتضمن مخطوطات موسيقية لبورسيل وهايدن وموزارت وبرامس ولمؤلفين آخرين وحيث يوجد كتاب البيانو الصغير المكتوب من قبل فرانسيس تريجيان في القرن السابع عشر. طوال يوم الأحد المشمس هذا من أيار 1986 كان هناك عازفون منفردون وفرق تنشد وتعزف وترقص على ألحان قطع موسيقية آتية بشكل أساسي من فيتزويليام كتاب البيانو الصغير. كنت أجهله في ذلك اليوم. كنت لا أعلم سوى صدور، في بداية القرن، هذا الديوان المؤلف من 297 مقطوعة موسيقية والذي ساهم كثيراً بجعل موسيقى النهضة الإنكليزية ومؤلفيها (بيرد، بول، دولاند، مورلي، فارنابي...) تعود إلى الصف الأول في الذاكرة الأوروبية بعد شبه غياب دام ثلاثة قرون. طرحت على نفسي سؤالاً بعد هذا اليوم الذي لا يُنسى: من هو هذا العبقري الجامع الذي جمع كل هذه الموسيقى الرائعة والذي شكل هذا الخليط الممتع أيضاً؟ بدا لي هذا التساؤل بسيطاً ولم أكن أعلم أنه سيتم إرضاء فضولي مع صبيحة اليوم التالي عبر زيارة صغيرة إلى متجر الموسيقى. لم أكن أعلم أيضاً أنه بطرح السؤال بهذا الشكل بدأت رحلةً كانت لتستغرق سبع سنوات. آن كوينو
