ليس من الغريب أن تكون لكل منا فلسفة في الحياة سواء كنا على علم بذلك أو لم نكن ولكن الغريب أن نعتقد أن أحدنا يستطيع أن يعيش مثل جزيرة مستقلة بذاتها لأن الحقيقة أن كل فرد يشكل جزءاً من منظومة أفراد آخرين، وهكذا هي الحياة. غير أن "فالح الصغير" خرج من معطف هذه المقولة بمخلوقات قصصة الاستثنائية، ربما يعي أن الطمأنينة لا تسكن قرى شخوصه، لذا آثر أن يهدهد ضجيج هزائمهم النفسية، مثل جزر منفردة ترفض الاستسلام لبعث الأشياء المنطقية في مجتمع لا يستطيعون فيه تحقيق غاياتهم. وهو يدهشنا كأفراد عاديين.. يجعلنا كالتائهين.. لا نحسن التصرف تجاه شخوصه وحينما نرى "علي حامد" يمارس عادته اليومية بالوقوف أمام إشارة المرور، يعد السيارات القادمة، إذا تعب جلس على الرصيف المقابل، وأضاف إلى السيارات العابرين من الرجال والنساء، والأطفال والحيوانات، لا ينزعج من الكلمات التي تصب في أذنه بأنه مجنون، ولا من الأوراق النقدية التي تتناثر في حضنه، وصدى أصوات أفرادها يرددون: الله يعافيه.. مجنون الله يعافيه)؟ لا نستطيع أن نقرر إزاءه شيئاً وما إذا كان يستدعي منا التعاون والتضامن والمحبة، أو ما إذا كان جلوسه على قارعة الطريق أو وقوفه بعض الوقت.. سببه ضعف جسمي في الرجل يقعده عن العمل ويجعله يمتهن الشحاذة، أو هو مصاب بداء في عقله، ويجعله مجنوناً. كلثم جبر
