انتفضت واقفاً كأن حية لدغتني،و دون أن أفكر كثيراً كنت أشق البرك، والوحل... أجري وراء قوس قزح للحاق به، رأيت ألبستي تتلطخ شيئاً فشيئاً، فلا أعتبر لذلك، لكن أمراً غريباً حدث.. إني أحس أن قوس قزح يجري هو الآخر في الاتجاه نفسه... هل هرب مني؟ هل تواطأ مع "عوج بن عناق" ضدي؟ هل تاطأ مع سكان المنطقة؟ كانت الأسئلة تتهاطل علي، وأنا أجري، وأحس أن ماء عمري يتبخر قطرة قطرة.. يعانق الهواء... يرحل بعيداً إلى ما وراء الشفق الازرق، أحس أن المجنون الذي يسكنني ما زال يستفزني، يؤكد لي أن اللحاق بالقوس قضية وقت، وأني بالغه لا محالة، يرمي بي في متاهات لا أعلم نهايتها، وأحسب نفسي تائهاً أبله أجري وارء سرب بقيعة حسبته ماء، وأني لا أبلغ غايتي أبداً، لكن سرعان ما اجدد إرادتي، وأجري بكل قواي، وأنا متأكد أني بالغ قمة قوس قزح.
