ولد في بلدة ميس الجبل في جنوب لبنان سنة 1954 تلقى علومه الإبتدائية في مدرسة ميس الجبل.
حصل على إجازة التعليم الابتدائي من دار المعلمين في النبطية سنة 1975.
وحصل على إجازة من كلية الآداب في الجامعة اللبنانية في التاريخ سنة 1981 .
ترك لبنان سنة 1988 إلى أستراليا وحصل على شهادة ماجيستير في الفلسفة من جامعة سيدني سنة 2000.
أصدر كتابه الأول "عامليات" سنة 2001 وهي مجموعة قصصية من جبل عامل (جنوب لبنان) وصدر له كتابان في التاريخ هما "ميس الجبل : لؤلؤة جبل عامل" و"جبل عامل تاريخ وأحداث" سنة 2005 .
وفي سنة 2012 صدر له كتاب "قراءة في تاريخ الفقه الإمامي" حول تطور الفقه والفكر الشيعي الإمامي.
بالإضافة إلى أربعة كتب أخرى وهي : "عامليات 2" مجموعة قصص قصيرة وثلاث روايات طويلة وهي : "عبدو الياس اللبناني" و"على حافة الجرف" ومالك مختار".
Book Description
تقع ميس في طرف جبل عامل الشرقي، وتتصل أراضيها بأراضي عدد من القرى. وفي الأصل بنيت ميس على تلتين متقابلتين شرقية وعليها حي الضيعة وغربية ويقوم عليه حي الغربية. ويتفق معظم الذين تحدثوا عن ميس أن اسمها مشتق من اسم شجرة الميس الذي يقال بأنه كان يكثر فيها. وقد جرى تحريف الاسم بإضافة (جبل) بعده، فاسم ميس الجبل أي بإضافة كلمة الجبل بعد اسم ميس لم يجر استعماله إلا في الزمن الحديث. وفي هذا الكتاب يقدم المؤلف دراسة تاريخية وجغرافية واجتماعية لميس الجبل. وهو يحاول أن يرسم صورة لميس، من خلال تدوين المعلومات كما هي وخصوصاً فيما يتعلق بالعائلات. يعرض المؤلف لتاريخ ميس إبان فترة الحكم العربي الإسلامي وتحت الاحتلال الصليبي كما يتحدث عن العلاقة بين الصليبيين والعامليين، ثم يتناول تاريخها تحت حكم المماليك، ويذكر أهم الأسر العاملية في أيام العثمانيين، ويخصص جزءاً كبيراً من هذه الدراسة للحديث عن ميس الجبل في العصر الحديث بدءاً من القرن التاسع عشر وصولاً إلى حرب الاستنزاف والتحرير. ثم يعرض أخيراً لأحياء ميس وبيوتها والمقامات المقدسة والمساجد فيها. إضافة إلى الحالة الاقتصادية والثقافية.
