"تجميع الأسد" رواية فن ولغة وشخصيات وحرفة واجتهاد في مراجعة الواقع العراقي عبر لوحة عملاقة رسمها فنان عراقي معروف لمواجهة جدارية عملاقة هي أيضاً تتوسط العاصمة بغداد بتاريخها المشرق، لتكون أثراً فنياً جديداً يقترحه المؤلف كجدارية ثانية تؤرخ لحقبة تاريخية ثانية تركت أثرها وما تزال في البنية الاجتماعية العراقية العامة. تقدم الرواية صراعات مختلفة بوظائف نقدية متميزة أهمها إبعاد المؤلف من سياق السرد ومنح الشخصيات الروائية أدواراً متحررة عن سلطة الكاتب، وكأن السالم يريد أن يشير إلى الحرية الجديدة التي ولدت ناقصة في ظل ظروف صعبة يفترعها الإرهاب وسوء الظن. يذكر ، أن الدار العربية للعلوم ناشرون قد أصدرت في العام الماضي رواية لوارد بدر السالم عنوانها (عجائب بغداد) وحظيت بصدى ٌ نقدي عراقي وعربي لافت.
