اتصفت معاني الكلام النبوي بصفات قل أن تجتمع في كلام سواه، ومن هذه الصفات: الغنى في الأفكار والعمق والجدة والإحكام والانسجام والتسلسل والغوص في أغوار النفس الإنسانية وملامسة حنايا هذه النفس، وهذا مكَّن لهذه المعاني أن تكون خالدة على وجه الدهر. كما وزخرت هذه المعاني بالمثل الإنسانية العليا من وحدانية الله خالصة، وعدالة مطلقة، ومساواة تامة، وسعي جادٍ لاستئصال الشر، وحرب للفقر والظلم... واتصف أسلوب الحديث بالجمال في السبك، والجزالة في الديباجة، والدقة في الوصف والتعبير. نجد ذلك كله مبللاً بندى العاطفة المرهقة، مكتسباً رونق البهاء من شخصية قائلة صلى الله عليه وسلم. ولم تكن فصاحته مقصورة على جودة الأسلوب وعمق المعنى، بل جاوزت ذلك إلى الأداء الموفق، فكان أداؤه يأخذ بالألباب كما نقل ذلك الصحب الكرام... وبين طيات هذا الكتاب مجموعة من الأحاديث النبوية الصحيحة، جمعها الصباغ من مصادر متعددة، لتكون مرجعاً لكل طالب علم يرغب بالاضطلاع على التراث النبوي الشريف. وهي بمجموعها تعالج قضايا مهمة في الدين والحياة والمجتمع، وتصف العلاج لكثير من المشكلات التي يعاني منها الإنسان في كل زمان ومكان. وبالرجوع إلى عمل الباحث نجد أنه تجلى بـ: أولاً جمعها وتنسيقها، ثانياً: شرحها ودراستها على ضوء آيات الكتاب المبين، وعلى ضوء ما جاء في الهدي النبوي.
