نجحت الكاتبة أن تقبض على عوالم منفلتة عبر ذاكرة تستحضر الماضي بدقة من خلال مجموعة تضم أربع عشرة قصة استطاعت من خلالها الدناصوري أن تستحضر الماضي بدقة عبر زاوية رؤية بالغة الخصوصية، وسرد محكم ومرهف، وأن تقبض على عوالم منفلتة وحيوات سابقة لشخوصها، التي توشك أن تطل برؤوسها من داخل القصص، فتبعثها كأنما في عالم جديد. وتظهر القدرة الباطنية لهذه الشخوص ـ التي عاشت في المنطقة الوسطى من السلّم الاجتماعي، حيث لا شعور بالعوز ولا بالفاقة، ولا نعرة البذخ والإسراف ـ على المراجعة والاحتفاظ بنقائها وقيمها ورغبتها في الحياة، بما يعكس بحق آلاماً ومخاوف تخص في المقام الأول شريحة الطبقة الوسطى. كل شخوص هذه القصص مغتربة تقريباً، وهشة داخلياً تعذبها طوال الوقت مشاعر الوحدة والخوف والألم، ضعيفة بما يجعلها عرضة للكسر، تهرب دائماً إلى المنطقة الدافئة من العالم، لتنأى بنفسها عن كل ما يؤلم، وبحثاً عن حماية أبوية. لكنها مع ذلك شخوص نبيلة ونظيفة، إذ يمكن لأشياء صغيرة في الحقيقة أن تنتزعها من هذه الحالة من الشعور بالاغتراب والخوف كأن يدق جرس الحصة الأخيرة أو تمرّ أمامها عربة مترو أخيرة.
