من المؤسف حقاً توقف جماعة من المسلمين عند بعض المفاهيم، ثم جعل الاختلاف فيها موجباً للنفور والانطواء على الذات، ولو تعاملنا مع مواضع الاختلاف بهذا الأسلوب العجيب لصارت الأمة أمماً شتى، ولضاعت قضايانا الكبرى. إن مسالك الحق متعددة، والمسلم لا يستطيع بسائق من إيمانه أن يسارع فيحكم على غيره ممن لا يوافقه الرأي من إخوانه بما يحلو له لمجرد المخالفة، فضلاً عن أن يستطيع أن يبتَّ بشكل نهائي في أكثر مسائل الفروع. إن اعتماد منهج البحث العلمي المستمد من الكتاب والسنة وقواعد التفكير السليم يكسب سالكيه قدرة أكثر على تذويب الخلاف، وأفقاً أوسع في فهم أسبابه، وبذلك تتلاشى الدواعي المظنونة للفرقة، وتتبدد أوهام القطيعة. أما إذا أتبعت النفوس أهواءها، وأطلق العنان للأنانية، فمن العسير أن تلتقي القلوب حتى على كتاب ربها وسنة نبيها صلى الله عليه وسلم، لا لشيء إنما لأن الفكرة أصبحت جزءاً من الذات. يحاول الكاتب في هذه الرسالة تأصيل هذا البحث، ودراسته دراسة وافية، وتوضيح معنى المتشابه والتأويل، لأنه مسألة ذات مساس كبير بالواقع الإسلامي. ينصح بها: عموم طلبة العلم، وخاصة الدعاة.
