ﻳﻌﺘﺒﺮ "ﺛﺒﺖ ﻋﺒﺪ اﻟﺤﻲ ﺑﻦ اﻟﻌﻤﺎد اﻟﺤﻨﺒﻠﻲ" ﻣﻦ أھﻢ ﻣﺼﻨﻔﺎت اﻟﺘﺎرﻳﺦ اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻲ اﻹﺳﻼﻣﻲ اﻟﻤﺨﺘﺼﺮة، ﺣﯿﺚ أرّخ ﻓﯿﻪ إﺑﻦ اﻟﻌﻤﺎد ﻣﺎ ﺛﺒﺖ ﻟﻪ رواﻳﺘﻪ ﻣﻦ ﻛﺘﺐ اﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ، وﻣﺎ اﺗﺼﻞ ﺳﻨﺪه ﺑﻪ ﻣﻦ أﺳﻔﺎر ﺟﮫﺎﺑﺬة ھﺬا اﻟﻔﻦ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻘﺪﻳﻢ واﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ، وﻣﺎ وﻗﻊ ﻟﻪ ﻓﻲ َﻣْﺴﻄﻮِر اﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻷوﻟﯿﺔ واﻟﺬي ﺟﻤﻌﻪ ﻣﺆﻟﻔﻪ – ﻛﻤﺎ ﺻﺮّح ﺑﺬﻟﻚ – ﻣﻦ ﻛﺘﺐ اﻟﺤﺎﻓﻆ اﻟﺬھﺒﻲ وﻏﯿﺮه ﻣﻦ اﻟﻤﺆﻟﻔﺎت واﻟﺘﺤﺮﻳﺮات ﻛﻜﺘﺎﺑﻪ ﻓﻲ إﺟﺎزة وﺛﺒﺖ، وﻣﺎ ﺻﺢ ﺑﻪ إﻟﻰ ﻣﺆﻟﻔﻪ وﺛﺒﺖ، ﻣﻦ ﻛﺘﺐ ﺣﺪﻳﺚ وﻓﻘﻪ وﺗﻔﺴﯿﺮ، وﻓﺮاﺋﺾ وآﻻت وإﻧﺸﺎء وﺗﺤﺮﻳﺮ. وﺑﻜﻼم آﺧﺮ ھﻮ: اﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ ﻣﺬھﺐ اﻟﺤﻨﺎﺑﻠﺔ "ﺑﻐﯿﺔ أوﻟﻲ اﻟﱡﻨﮫﻲ ﻓﻲ ﺷﺮح ﻏﺎﻳﺔ اﻟﻤﻨﺘﮫﻰ" وﻏﯿﺮه. وﻷھﻤﯿﺔ ھﺬا اﻟﻜﺘﺎب دأب اﻷﺳﺘﺎذ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﺑﻦ ﻧﺎﺻﺮ اﻟﻌﺠﻤﻲ إﻟﻰ ﺗﺤﻘﯿﻘﻪ، وﺗﺨﺮﻳﺞ أﺣﺎدﻳﺜﻪ، وﺗﺮﺟﻢ ﻟﻠﻤﺼﻨﻒ، وﻋﺰا اﻷﺣﺎدﻳﺚ إﻟﻰ اﻟﻤﺼﺎدر اﻟﺘﻲ ذﻛﺮھﺎ إﻟﯿﻪ ووزﻋﻪ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻋﻨﺎوﻳﻦ ﻣﻨﮫﺎ: اﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ اﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﻌﻤﺮﻳﻦ، واﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﺤﻨﻔﯿﺔ، واﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺎﻟﻜﯿﺔ، واﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﺸﺎﻓﻌﯿﺔ، واﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﺤﻨﺎﺑﻠﺔ، واﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﺸﺎﻣﯿﯿﻦ اﻟﺪﻣﺸﻘﯿﯿﻦ اﻟﺜﻘﺎت واﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻟﻤﺼﺮﻳﯿﻦ. وھﻜﺬا أﺗﻢ اﻟﺤﺪﻳﺚ اﻟﻤﺴﻠﺴﻞ ﺑﺎﻷوﻟﯿﺔ، وذﻳّﻠﻪ ﺑﻤﺨﺘﺼﺮ ﺛﺒﺖ إﻣﺎم اﻟﻤﺤﻨﺎﺑﻠﺔ ﻓﻲ ﻋﺼﺮه ﻋﺒﺪ اﻟﺒﺎﻗﻲ اﻟﺒﻌﻠﻲ اﻟﺪﻣﺸﻘﻲ وﻣﺎ ورد ﻋﻨﻪ ﻣﻦ أﺣﺪاﻳﺚ ﻧﻘﻠﮫﺎ ﻋﻦ: ﺳﻨﺪ ﺻﺤﯿﺢ ﻣﺴﻠﻢ، وﺳﻨﻦ اﻟﺘﺮﻣﺬي، وﺳﻨﻦ إﺑﻦ ﻣﺎﺟﺔ وﻏﯿﺮھﻢ ...
