ﺗﻘﻊ ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر ﻓﻲ إﻗﻠﯿﻢ ﺧﺮاﺳﺎن، اﻟﺬي ﻳﺸﻐﻞ اﻟﺰاوﻳﺔ اﻟﺸﻤﺎﻟﯿﺔ اﻟﻐﺮﺑﯿﺔ ﻣﻦ إﻳﺮان ﻋﻠﻰ ﺣﺪود روﺳﯿﺎ وأﻓﻐﺎﻧﺴﺘﺎن. ﻓﺘﺤﮫﺎ اﻟﻤﺴﻠﻤﻮن أﻳﺎم ﻋﺜﻤﺎن ﺑﻦ ﻋﻔﺎن رﺿﻲ ﻧﺒﺬة اﻟﻨﯿﻞ واﻟﻔﺮات: ﷲ ﻋﻨﻪ، ﻋﻠﻰ ﻳﺪ اﻷﻣﯿﺮ ﻋﺒﺪ ﷲ ﺑﻦ ﻋﺎﻣﺮ ﺑﻦ ﻛﺮﻳﺰ ﺳﻨﺔ إﺣﺪى وﺛﻼﺛﯿﻦ ﺻﻠﺤﺎً، وﻗﯿﻞ ﻏﯿﺮ ذﻟﻚ. ﻛﻤﺎ ﻳﻘﻮل اﻟﻌﻠﻤﺎء ھﻮ ﺳﯿﺪ اﻟﺘﻮارﻳﺦ، وھﻮ أﻋﻮد اﻟﺘﻮارﻳﺦ ﻋﻞ اﻟﻔﻘﮫﺎء ﺑﻔﺎﺋﺪة. وﻗﺪ ﺑﺪأ اﻟﺤﺎﻛﻢ ﺑﺬﻛﺮ ﻣﻔﺎﺧﺮ ﺧﺮاﺳﺎن ﺑﺈﺷﺎرة آﻳﺎت وأﺣﺎدﻳﺚ وأﺧﺒﺎر. وﻣﺎ ورد ﻓﻲ وﺗﺎرﻳﺦ ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر، ﺻﻨﻔﻪ أﺑﻮ ﻋﺒﺪ ﷲ ﻣﺤﻤﺪ ﺑﻦ ﻋﺒﺪ ﷲ اﻟﺤﺎﻛﻢ اﻟﻨﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮري ﻷﻧﻪ وﺟﺪ ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر ﻣﻊ ﻛﺜﺮة اﻟﻌﻠﻤﺎء ﺑﮫﺎ واﻟﺤﻔﺎظ ﻟﻢ ﻳﺼﻨﻔﻮا ﻓﻲ ﺗﺎرﻳﺨﮫﺎ ﺷﯿﺌﺎً. وﺗﺎرﻳﺨﻪ ﺗﻔﺴﯿﺮھﺎ ﺛﻢ ذﻛﺮ أﺣﺎدﻳﺚ ﻓﻲ ﻓﻀﻞ ﻓﺎرس. ﺛﻢ ذﻛﺮ ﻣﺎ ورد ﻓﻲ ﻓﻀﺎﺋﻞ ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر ﺛﻢ ﻗﺴﻢ ﻛﺘﺎﺑﻪ إﻟﻰ ﺳﺒﻊ طﺒﻘﺎت، ذﻛﺮ ﻓﻲ اﻷوﻟﻰ اﻟﺼﺤﺎﺑﺔ وھﻢ ﺛﻤﺎن وﻋﺸﺮون ﺻﺤﺎﺑﯿﺎ ، وذﻛﺮ ﻋﻠﻤﺎء ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر وإﺷﺮاﻗﮫﺎ واﻟﺘﺎﺑﻌﯿﻦ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ اﻟﺜﺎﻧﯿﺔ، ﺛﻢ ذﻛﺮ أﺗﺒﺎع اﻟﺘﺎﺑﻌﯿﻦ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻨﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮرﻳﯿﻦ وﻣﻦ وردھﺎ أو ﺳﻜﻨﮫﺎ أو ﺣّﺪث ﺑﮫﺎ ﻣﻦ ﻋﻠﻤﺎء اﻹﺳﻼم. ﻓﻲ اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ اﻟﺜﺎﻟﺜﺔ. أﻣﺎ اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ اﻟﺮاﺑﻌﺔ، ﻓﺬﻛﺮ ﻓﯿﮫﺎ أﺗﺒﺎع اﻷﺗﺒﺎع ﺑﻌﺪ اﻟﺼﺤﺎﺑﺔ وھﻮ اﻟﻘﺮن اﻟﺮاﺑﻊ ﺑﻌﺪ اﻟﻨﺒﻮة واﻟﺜﺎﻟﺚ ﺑﻌﺪ اﻟﺼﺤﺎﺑﺔ، ﺛﻢ ذﻛﺮ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ اﻟﺨﺎﻣﺴﺔ ﻋﻠﻤﺎء ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر وﻣﻦ دﺧﻠﮫﺎ وﻧﺸﺮ ﻋﻠﻤﻪ ﻓﯿﮫﺎ. وذﻛﺮ ﻓﻲ اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ اﻟﺴﺎدﺳﺔ، ذﻛﺮ اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ اﻟﺴﺎدﺳﺔ ﻣﻦ اﻟﻌﻠﻤﺎء اﻟﻨﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮرﻳﯿﻦ وﻣﻦ ﺳﻜﻨﮫﺎ وﺣّﺪث ﻓﯿﮫﺎ ﻣﻦ ﻋﻠﻤﺎء اﻟﻤﺴﻠﻤﯿﻦ. وأﻣﺎ اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ اﻟﺴﺎﺑﻌﺔ ﻓﺬﻛﺮ ﻓﯿﮫﺎ أﺳﺎﻣﻲ اﻟﻤﺸﺎﻳﺦ اﻟﺬﻳﻦ رزق اﻟﺴﻤﺎع ﻣﻨﮫﻢ ﻣﻦ ھﺬه اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ (أي اﻟﺴﺎدﺳﺔ) وﺑﻌﺪ ذﻟﻚ أﺿﺎف اﻟﺤﺎﻛﻢ ﻻﺣﻘﺔ، ﺗﺮﺟﻢ ﻓﯿﮫﺎ ﻟﻤﻦ ﺗﻮﻓﻲ ﻣﻦ ﺷﯿﻮﺧﻪ وإﺧﻮاﻧﻪ ﺑﻌﺪ اﻧﺘﮫﺎﺋﻪ ﻣﻦ ﺗﺎرﻳﺦ ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر، وﻗﺪ ﻓﻘﺪ (ﺗﺎرﻳﺦ ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر) إذ ﻟﻢ ﻳﻌﺜﺮ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﺨﻄﻮطﺘﻪ وﻟﻢ ﻳﻮﺟﺪ ﻣﻨﻪ إﻻ ﺗﺮﺟﻤﺔ ﻓﺎرﺳﯿﺔ ﻣﺨﺘﺼﺮة. وﻗﺪ اﻗﺘﺼﺮ اﻟﻤﺤﻘﻖ ﻓﻲ ﻋﻤﻠﻪ ھﺬا ﻋﻠﻰ ﺗﺠﻤﯿﻊ اﻟﻄﺒﻘﺔ اﻟﺴﺎﺑﻌﺔ ﻣﻦ ﺗﺎرﻳﺦ ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر، وھﻲ طﺒﻘﺔ ﺷﯿﻮخ اﻟﺤﺎﻛﻢ واﻋﺘﻤﺪ ﻓﻲ ذﻟﻚ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻣﺨﻄﻮطﺔ ﻓﺎرﺳﯿﺔ ﻣﺨﺘﺼﺮة ﻟﺘﺎرﻳﺦ ﻧﯿﺴﺎﺑﻮر. وﻗﺪ ﺣﺎﻓﻆ اﻟﻤﺤﻘﻖ ﻋﻠﻰ ﻧﺺ اﻟﻤﺨﻄﻮطﺔ ﺗﻠﻚ رﻏﻢ ﻣﺎ ﻓﯿﮫﺎ ﻣﻦ اﻟﺘﺼﺤﯿﻒ
