الكتاب من تحقيق نظام محمد صالح يعقوبي. هذه رسالة جامعة محررة في باب الذبح والصيد، انتخبها أحد أئمة المذهب الشافعي من الكتب المعتمدة في المذهب، والتي عليها المعول في الترجيح والفتوى، وخص منها: "المجموع في شرح المهذب"، و"الإيضاح" كلاهما للنووي، و"تحفة المحتاج بشرح المنهاج"، لابن حجر الهتيمي، و"العباب المحيط بمعظم نصوص الشافعي والأصحاب" لقاضي القضاة أبو العباس المزجد المرادي اليمني. وقد ذكر فيها المسائل التي يقبح الجهل بها في الذكاة ونحوها، من العوام، بل وحتى من طلبة العلم، وكان الباعث على إفرادها، كونها أكثر الأمور تناولاً من الناس، حيث إنها لا تنفك عن حياتهم اليومية، ومن هنا تأتي أهميتها، حيث يسهل فهم أحكامها وقراءتها من الخاص والعام، وفيها يقل الجهل والغلط في تلك الأحكام، فقد سيقت بشكل موجز ومبسط، بعيدة عن التعقيد وغريب الألفاظ، مشتملة على المهمات في الذبح والصيد.
