شعرية القلق، هي ما تتسم به قصائد الشاعر محمد زينو شومان في "قيامة القلق" وقد مارس في كتابتها الشاعر طقوس ما قبل الكتابة، لهيأ الإحساس لرحلة العبور، يتأمل وينتظر، ينتظر ما قبل الرجوع وما بعد العودة، ويخطو الخطوات الأولى "هاتيك الخطوات الأولى... لم تطمسها ريحُ السنواتُ... فوق السلم... كان فتىً بالحبر يحاول رشق الغيم... وكان الوطواطْ... يُلهمه الرؤية في ديجورِ المحنة... ذرع الحرمان ذهاباً وإياباً... وتمنى لو يغدو جندياً في سلك الطفارُ... كيف ينقص على ثكنه... حين تدب الفوضى...".
في الخطاب الشعري، تبدو القصائد ذات نسق متواصل حيناً - قطعة نصية واحدة، وأخرى ذات - نسق متقطع - والمساحات التي يتركها الشاعر بين مقطع وآخر لا بد لها أن تؤدي وظيفة، تتمثل في أنها تمكن الشاعر من الإنتقال من فكرة إلى أخرى أو من صورة إلى الأخرى، وكأنها تمارس دور الثغرة النصية - الزمكانية - ولكن بلغة السرد، يتمظهر هذا الكلام في أكثر من قصيدة، ومنها "نص المعاناة" يقول الشاعر: "وأدبر يمسك غيماً وحقل عنبْ.. وما أنفكًّ يسري... كأن ليس من وطرٍ غير هذا السُّرى... وحين التلُّفتِ... أنشأ يسَّاقط الشوقُ من جبينه... والقرى".
يضم الكتاب قصائد في الشعر العربي الحديث ومقطوعات شعرية جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "تنقيب في مناجم الداخل"، "الإسراء"، "الحرذون"، "الخَطْب"، "مجزرة أخرى"، "رحلة حوران"، "موت جلجامش"... وقصائد أخرى.
