لا شيء يضاهي متعة القراءة لعبد الله حبيب محاورته، وفي كلا الأمرين نحن على موعد مع الصدق والشفافية والبوح الآسر وغير قليل من الشجاعة. يفتح "عبد الله" في هذا الكتاب صندوق قلبه وعقله سارداً رحلة حياتية وثقافية طويلة يشهد أعداؤه قبل أصدقائه "أنها مُتَّسمة بالعصاميَّة الشديدة، والإعتماد الكامل على الذات، ومساعدة الآخرين في نفس الوقت". يسمح لنا بكرم وأريحية أن نتلصص على بعض جوانباته، يبوح بسرَّ حبه الاول "وسرقته" الأولى، اللذين - أي الحب والسرقة - ما كانا ليحدثا لولا عشقته للدراجات الهوائية والنارية. يسرد "الحبيب عبد الله" حكاية الأسمين والموتين اللذين حملهما على ظهره كصخرتين منذ ولادته، وكيف أصبح ذات يوم من عام 1977 "أصغر مرتزق في التاريخ" على حد المزاح الساخر لصديقه المقرب الراحل أحمد الراشد ثاني، وسنتعرف عن قرب على قريته الأسطورة و"مكانه المستحيل": محِز الصغرى، التي سيسرد سر علاقته الملتبسة لها، وعلاقته بــ"أيقونتها الخالدة" التي تختصر "كل خرافاتها، وأساطيرها، ووقائعها، وأحلامها، ومخاوفها، وبساطتها، ودهشتها أمام العالم": تعوب الكحالي، ذلك الصياد الذي "لا يزال بخير" رغم رحيله منذ سنوات طويلة، والذي هو آخر من تبقى لعبد الله حبيب "مِنْ" و"في" محِز الصغرى. وسيتحدث بتواضع عن دوره في الحراك الشعبي الذي شهدتُه عُمان عام 2011 مسمياً الأشياء بمسمياتها، عاتباً على غياب وجوه الستينيات والسبعينيات عن ساحات الإعتصام، ذلك الدور الذي جعله تجسيداً عملياً لنظرية غرامشي عن المثقف العضوي، والذي يتسق مع شخصية عبد الله حبيب المختلف، منذ إنفراده طفلاً ينطق القاف دوناً عن بقية أقرانه، والمتمرد على "الحضور المسيطر الكثيف للسلطة" في حياته بكافة أوجهها بالأشكال المباشرة، والفكرية، والرمزية.
