من العنونة الإستهلالية (زيارة) تومىء مجموعة عبد الله الصيخان الشعرية بمرجعيتها الدينية والميثولوجية، عبر رؤية تأخذ القارىء إلى حدود وآفاق غير معلنة وغير مقيدة وقد أبحر شاعرنا بجنونه إلى حيث لا يدري وسيلة تشكيلات أدبية رصينة تحرر المعنى في الشيء ليتحرر الشعر عبر فاعلية اللغة. إن القيم الدلالية التي تشكل ظهير الخطاب الشعري في تجربة الصيخان هي التي يسعى إلى إظهارها وإشاعتها الأسلوب الفني في النص عبر مرموزات لفظية مؤثرة مستوحاة من وطن الشاعر. نقرأ له (زيارة) يقول فيها: "من ها هنا .. نهر الطفولة مر / هذي سدرةُ الجيران تسدل ظلّ خضرتها على الجدران / وضممتُ لي من سدرها ما يملأ الكفين .. / ثم شممته / فرجعت طفلاً / الله يا نهر الندى / قد كنت أحلى؟ / من هاهنا نهر الطفولة سال / فانسابي وئيداً يا خُطاي / بين ما يدعُ المكان على التراب / وبين ما يدعُ الفتى تحت الأظافر من تراب (...)". يضم الكتاب إثني عشر قصيدة تنتمي لقصيدة النثر جاءت تحت العناوين الآتية: "زيارة" ، "القرين" ، "نجمة الحبر" ، "القلطة" ، "وجدان" ، "الزائر الأخير" ، "قانا" ، "بورتريه لا مرأة محبطة" ، "زمان الصمت" ، "صورة غير شخصية" ، "نجمة" و "الفراشة".
