ياسر أحمد (كاتب الخيال، ولد في عام 1980، مصر) كاتب وروائي حاصل على جائزة ساويرس الثقافية عن كتابه الأول "عكس الاتجاه" عام 2012 في فئة الشباب المؤلفين.
وكانت روايته موضوع برنامج الكتاب الأول في المجلس الفرنسي في القاهرة.
وستترجم أربعة فصول من الرواية إلى اللغة الفرنسية، ونشرت في الاهرام ابدو.
وقد كتب العديد من القصص القصيرة والمقالات على الانترنت.
في عام 2014 نشر هو روايته الثانية "القرد جمهورية الأحمر".
لدى السيد أحمد العديد من المقالات التقنية باللغة الإنجليزية نشرت على الانترنت التي تركز على المحتوى العربي.

يقدم هذا الكتاب رصداً واقعياً للوضع الراهن لتركيا واحوالها السياسية والاجتماعية والاقتصادية، يبدأ الفصل الأول بمقدمة تاريخية حول تركيا وتحولها من امبراطورية إلى جمهورية، ثم فى الفصل الثاني يناقش الإسلام أثناء النظام الجمهوري، ثم في فصل اخر يناقش وضع تركيا فى عقد التسعينات ، ثم يناقش في الفصل الخامس علاقة تركيا بأوروبا، ثم علاقتها بأمريكا فى الفصل السادس، ويتقدم الكتاب بملاحظات من المؤلف حول السياسة التركية
