مستخلص يأتي كتاب "المسلمون، أوروبا، وعالم متغيِّر" ليعالج طائفة من قضايا ساخنة تتوزَّع على عشرة فصول، تشغل مساحات واسعة من الاهتمام في عالم اليوم. تعالج القضيّةُ الأولى مسألةَ حرِّية التعبير، التي تفاعلت مع أزمة الرسوم الدانمركية المسيئة للإسلام والمسلمين بدءاً من سنة 2005. وتسعى لتقديم رؤية نقديّة لفتح أفق جديد في تناول هذه القضيّة، وكيفيّات للتعامل معها. وتسبر القضية الثانية أغوارَ مسألة المرأة، عبر الوقوف عند خلفيات صورة المسلمات في أوروبا، وخيارات معالجة هذه الصورة المهزوزة وإمكانيّات التعامل مع تناقضاتها الراسخة في الوعي الجمعي للمجتمعات الأوروبية. أما القضيّةُ الثالثة فتتمثّل في ظاهرة الاستثناء المجتمعي ونزعة العنصرية الانتقائية، تجسدهما أزمة "خطر المآذن" التي انقدحت شرارتها في سويسرا ابتداءً. وفي القضية الرابعة يتناول أزمات مسلمي أوروبا، وهي أزماتٌ مفعمة بالتطوّرات وتحمل معها انعكاساتها وتداعياتها في جوانب شتى من واقع هذه القارّة ومسلميها. ثم تنبع القضيّة الخامسة من صميم متغيِّرات التواصل والإعلام في المجتمع الإنساني الكبير، والمسؤوليّات المتجدِّدة على عاتق فاعلي الإعلام بموجب الانفتاح المتزايد على أطياف التنوُّع الإنساني. وتتمثل القضية السادسة في مسألة "الاندماج"، وما يروج الإعلام الغربي حولها. وتنفذ القضيّةُ السابعة إلى خياراتِ تطوير حضور مسلمي أوروبا مجتمعيّاً، انطلاقاً من مسؤولية النهوض بقطاع الأوقاف. وتتناول القضيّة الثامنة الحوار بين الحضارات من زاوية الحاجة إلى ترشيد هذا الحوار، بتحريره من ظاهرة "الاستقطاب المزدوج" التي تتخلَّله، فتكاد تحصره في سياق إسلامي – غربي أكثر من كونه تفاعلاً تعارفياً ناضجاً بين الحضارات كافّة. ويفتح الفصلُ التاسع قضيّة الحقبة الاستعمارية وما تستدرُّه من تفاعلات وتفرضه من استحقاقات؛ بالنسبة لعلاقة الغرب بالعالم الإسلامي. ثم تخلص القضيّة العاشرة إلى تسليط الأضواء على رؤية مسلمي أوروبا للعلاقات الدوليّة، عبر قراءة في "ميثاق المسلمين في أوروبا".
