ولد سنة 1935بالدار البيضاء (عمالة سطات).
اشتغل بالتعليم الابتدائي ابتداء من سنة 1952.
حصل على الإجازة في الفلسفة وعلم النفس وعلم الاجتماع سنة 1967، ثم على دبلوم الدراسات العليا في علم النفس سنة 1975، كما أحرز على دكتوراه الدولة سنة 1988.
يشتغل حاليا قيدوما لكلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية – بنمسيك سيدي عثمان – البيضاء.
انضم إلى اتحاد كتاب المغرب سنة 1961.
يتوزع إنتاجه بين القصة القصيرة، الرواية، المقالة الأدبية والبحث في علم النفس والتربية.
نشر أعماله بمجموعة من الصحف والمجلات: التحرير، العلم، دعوة الحق، أقلام، الآداب، الكتاب العربي، الوحدة، أبعاد فكرية، العربي...

مبارك ربيع كاتب مغربي معاصر له أسلوب في كتابة الرواية يذكرنا بأسلوب "ألف ليلة وليلة" أو "سيرة عنترة بن شداد" أو "الزير والمهلهل" بل لعل أجواء هذه الرواية أشبه ما تكون بأجواء القصص التي ذكرنا، واسمعه في هذا المقطع: "قال... وكرّ عظيم التراجان على خصمه بعزم وإصرار يزن موقع الضربة القاضية على خصمه، تكون نهايته ونهاية اليوم... قال.. وتلقي عظيم كغاشي الضربة بمضاء السيف، ولكن الحد انزلق على الحد في آخر لحظة فلم يفلت من موت محقق إلا بأعجوبة انحبست لها أنفاس القوم هولاً. وجاء الدور على عظيم التراجان، فثبت في مكانه وكرّ عليه عظيم كغاشي كرة جمع فيها كل حزمه وعزمه صائحاً صيحات مدوية، حتى إذا حاذى صاحبه ناور بسيفه كأنه يريد أن يبقر في الصدر، ولكنه نزل بضربة مرقت في الفضاء كاللمح الخاطف، وتجاوز عدوه خفيفاً ثم توقف والتفت فإذا عظيم التراجان لا يزال ثابتاً في مكانه كالجلمود يقول بصوت كأنه واهن من شدة السخرية أن حاد بك الخوف عن هدفك يا جبان... فيرد عظيم كغاشي بنفس اللهجة الواهنة من شدة السخرية: ولكنك مشطور، فتزحزح! قال... فتحرك عظيم التراجان فإذا به وفرسه ينشطران شطرين إذ كانت الضربة قد مرقت فيهما بمضاء وعزم قاصمين!".
