"وحده على كتف النهر يرصد تمرينه... وحده على كتف نهر الحياة يرصد جريانه... يرى أناسيه... شجراً يشكل سيلاً من الظل فيه... والأفق خيط نعاس... ينوء بلا هودج للحنين... مراياه... وحدته... فضته..". هكذا يستنطق الشاعر نهر الحياة سهواً يدخله يفتح قمصانه مستريباً يدخل المياه بمفتاح الشاعر بخياله الذي يفتح مداه الممتد إلى أعماق الإنسان، يقرؤ تراتيل خلوته يأخذ ما تيسر منه بعيداً أرتال أشخاص تستحيل من خلال خياله.... خيلاً يصيح مع النهار، تجري بأقدامها الحجرية مزهوةً بالرحيل إلى آخر الجرد ليتراءى حشد بشري سرباً من الطيور يتلو مناقيره خلسةً بالظلال... تموج معاني الشاعر بألف فكرة وفكرة قادمة من الذاكرة المسننة بين الريش... تلك الذكرى المزروعة في عمق الإنسان وحكاياه... ماضيه وحاضره... حكاياه الماضية والآتية... يحكيها محمد العامري شعراً لونه كرنفال يغيب صوف النهار... كلماته ريش قصب غائر في سقوف وأخاديد الإحساس والشعور... شعراً هو صوت ترجمان الندى... ندى ذاك الإنسان الراقد في حدود اللازمان واللامكان... القابع في أفق الشاعر.
