يبني الشاعر "عمر أبو الهيجاء" ديوانه "بلاغة الضحى" على إيقاع لا نكاد نظفر به كثيراً في شعر قصيدة النثر، إذ يتبدّى لون من الإيقاع المنتظم، فثمّة تراوح في قوافي بعض السطور الشعريّة، وثمّة سطور كاملة لا يغيب عنها إيقاع التفعيلة، مثلما يبدو غنى الإيقاع في نسيج القصيدة ملمحاً بارزاً. في هذا الديوان تتكثّف اللغة، وتتوتّر الإيقاعات والصور، وتتحطّم العلاقات اللغوية، ويشيع جوّ المفارقة، على أنّ المعنى، الّذي يوهم المبنى بأنّه قد يضلّ طريقه إلى المتلقّي، يظلّ في أفق النصّ لا يغيب، فالمعنى الشعريّ يتشكّل من لغة حيّة يمتزج فيها الشعريّ الصافي مع اللغة اليوميّة الواقعيّة، تمتح من فضاء العصر وأزمة الوجود وحرارة الواقع، وتبحث عن معنى في فضاء وجوديّ يحاصر الشاعر، وهو يتأمّل قيم الحريّة والعدالة والكرامة الإنسانيّة الملتبسة أمام عالم آسن يحلم بالثورة والتغيير. ومن هذا الجوّ المسيّج بالرعب، الغارق في الدم والظلام، والمتّشح بالعجائبيّة والغرائبيّة، يرى الشاعر أملاً يتمثل في إنفجار اللغة، وإنفجار الولادة والرحيل. يصنع الشاعر لغته المتوهّجة على عينه، ولا يفارق لغة عصره وجيله في آنٍ معاً، وإذ تتوحّد اللغة اليوميّة بلغة الشعر العليا، يبدو مصوراً ورسّاماً وصوفياً، تشيع في شعره لغة التصوّف والحبّ والشهوة والفظاظة والقسوة، ويبني مفرداته على الميتالغة في حديثه عن بناء القصيدة نفسها. إنّ "عمر أبو الهيجاء" مغنّي الحزن وأوجاع الروح، وقيثارة الحريّة للشعر والوطن في فضاء المنافي الّتي لا تحدّ؛ نقرأ له: "أقلّبُ البلاد بين يدي"... كإمرأةٍ تفور في الموقدِ... وأتساءل عن كحلها المسروقِ... لحظة إنفراط رمانها في الحارات... أيتها البلاد... المحملةُ بأثقال الجنودِ... المهرولين إلى نحركِ... على مرفأ الشمس... سأمدُّ قلبي في ليل السابحين في الدم... أتوكأ على حروف المدينة... أحاور الأجسادَ... الصورَ... عربات الجند... الأصابع الطليقةَ على الزناد... وفمي يغصُّ بالحكايا".
