قد دخلت إلى منزل خطأ، والظلام فريقي. فوق ظهري عائلتي كلها. خطواتي بها ثقل. لست في الطين، لكنني في الهواء الذي يشبه الطين. في العين سبع رؤى، وملايين أعملت سيفي بأعناقهم. أي طاغ أنا. أي سبع يجر فريسته بهدوء، ويضحك من كل هذي الدماء التي خلفه، أي طاغ يخر الطغاة له سجداً، يرفعون له العرش. سيدهم سيد الريح، سيد أبنائهم قبل أن يولدوا أو يموتوا، فتحت أقاليم شتى، تزوجت نصف النساء، ونصف الرجال، وأبقيت نصفاً لكل سواي، ولكنني في سواي أدب به كدبيب الوباء... أحركه في إنائي، كأن الجميع وليمة سيفي، أرى جسدي قارة أو سماء، وأتعب، لكن خلفي وريثي يتمم دورة هذا الوباء! ويحفظ منزلتي، أي طاغ حرقت شعوباً، وهيجت بعدي حريقي.
