بعد مضي سنة تقريباً زارني في يافا الطبيب السابق لأخي برغش ، الرجل المثقف اللطيف الذي كان يتقن تقريباً جميع لغات الشعوب المثقفة بطلاقة . وقد حكى لي أنه عندما صدرت مذكراتي سنة 1886وعلم أخي بالخبر أمره بترجمتها كلمة كلمة . وحول سؤالي له هل كانت لديه الجرأة على ترجمة فصل « السيد برغش في لندن » ، رد علي بأنه توجب عليه فعل ذلك أيضاً ، وكان السيد برغش مهتمة بهذا الفصل بالذات .
