قبل اندلاع الثورة المصرية بيوم واحد، كتب شريف يونس لأصدقائه في الفيسبوك طارحاً عليهم السؤال البدهي (هل هناك ثورة بموعد؟). على خلاف المتصور قامت الثورة بموعد، ليستجيب لها الكاتب بسلسلة من المقالات التحليلية التي تابعت أزمة السلطة والموجات المتلاحقة للثورة - منذ اليوم الثالث لها، وصولاً إلى أحداث ماسبيرو وشارع محمد محمود وانتهاءاً بـ أحداث مجلس الوزراء - يقدم من خلالها صاحب كتاب "الزحف المقدس" (أو ما يسميه النظرية الاهوتية في شأن سلطة يوليو) رؤية تحليلية ديمقراطية مفادها (إلى أين تسير الثورة المصرية؟)، عبر تبدل هتافاتها من شعار (الجيش المصري جيشنا ومبارك مش رئيسنا) إلى شعار (يسقط يسقط حكم العسكر).. لكن معركة الثورة في الرؤية التي يطرحها هذا الكتاب تتجاوز شعارات ميادين التحرير لتشير إلى نقطة تحول جذرية في تاريخ البلاد، تمتد إلى كل قطاع ومؤسسة في البلاد، في المدن والقرى، في الثقافة كما في الاقتصاد والعلاقات الاجتماعية والتعليم... وستستنفذ عمر الجيل الذي أطلق الثورة. لينتهي المؤلف إلى أن الثورة برغم قصوراتها في التنظيم ستنتصر في النهاية... لأن أعداءها كانوا وسيظلون مفلسين تاريخياً، لا يملكون سلاحاً سوى الإرهاب والقمع والكذب، ولا أفق سوى دفع البلاد إلى أعماق انحطاطهم الخاص.
