Book Description
ينقسم الكتاب إلى قسمين أولهما نماذج مختارة مما كتبه أحمد بهاء الدين. وثانيهما مجموعة كتابات عنه بأقلام عدد من أصدقائه، أرادوا أن تكون نوعاً من الخواطر المرسلة. والكتاب هو تحية متواضعة للكاتب الذي كان مهموماً بقضايا أمته العربية. والذي كانت مقالاته خير معبر عما يخالج صدره من مشاعر اتجاه أمته. وتمتد مقالاته نحو أربعة عقود متصلة، وقد جاءت معبرة عن تطور الفكر العربي في مجالاته المختلفة، أو تكاد لا توجد قضية هامة إلا وعالجها أحمد بهاء الدين.
وتعكس كتاباته جهوداً كبيرة من أجل العدل والتقدم. ورغم أنها مقالات كتبت في ظروف مختلفة وعلى امتداد الزمن وفي مطبوعات متعددة بعضها مصرية وبعضها عربية، إلا أنها تتسم بالتناسق والصدق والعقلانية والنظرة المستقبلية.
وما يضمنه هذا الكتاب من مقالات أحمد بهاء الدين ليس سوى نماذج كتبت في صحف ومجلات أسبوعية وشهرية مختلفة، بعضها تولّى هو رئاسة تحريرها، مثل الشعب والأخبار والأهرام وصباح الخير وآخر ساعة والمصور العربي. وقد تمّ تصنيف المقالات وفقاً لرؤوس موضوعات رتبت ترتيباً هجائياً، ورتبت المقالات في كل موضوع ترتيباً زمنياً وفقاً لتاريخ النشر.
