وقد يعاب علينا اختيارنا الحملة الانتخابية نموذجا للدراسة لما تتمتع به من طقوس مسرحية واحتفالية، ولما تتميز به من تكلف وزخرف في القول وفي الفعل، ولما تتسم به من طابع الموسمية يجعل منها لحظة عابرة في المشهد السياسي، وهو كلام يحمل من الوجاهة ما يجعله معقولا ومقبولا، لكن ما يجعل من هذا الاختيار اختيارا موفقا، في اعتقادنا، هو ما تسمح به الحملة الانتخابية من إمكانية الرصد المباشر للخطاب السياسي في سيرورتيه (بناء الخطاب وتلقيه) وهو ما لا يوفره المشهد السياسي في غير المناسبات الانتخابية، فعلى امتداد المسافة بين انتخابين ترى الخطاب منزويا في مؤسسات تفصلها مساحة شاسعة عن مواطن/متلقي مشمول بتفاصيل الحياة ومحاط بإكراهات (اقتصادية واجتماعية وذهنية) تدفعه بقوة إلى الإعراض عن السياسة وخطاباتها. إن فرصة الحديث عن التواصل والتلقي والإقناع في السياسة غير متاحة بشكل كبير إلا من داخل ما توفره الحملة الانتخابية من شروط المصالحة الظرفية بين الخطاب السياسي والمتلقي؛ يغادر الخطاب المؤسسة مرغما وينزل الشارع متسللا بين الدروب والأزقة باحثا عن متلقي أرغمته مجموعة من المؤثرات على الخروج من عزلته ليعانق الخطاب ويمارس دوره كمتلقي بصرف النظر عن طبيعة هذا التلقي وشروطه.
