ما تضمه هذه الصفحات هو صرخات بعيدة حملها صحفي عربي من السجن الصغير إلى السجن الكبير... علها تقنع البعض أن الحكم الأمريكي قد تحول إلى كابوس أمريكي لا نهاية له في أي لحظة، وأن أي إنسان معرّض لهذا الكابوس بمجرد أي هفوة صغيرة.
إنها حوارات عدة في سجون أميركا مع بعض العرب المسلمين وغير المسلمين، وبعض الأمريكيين الذين لهم علاقة بالعرب، علّ اقتحام عزلة سجون هؤلاء تنقل بعضاً من الحقائق. ومحاولات الصحفي تمام البرازي فشلت في بعضها، فمثلاً طرد من سجن الشيخ عمر قبل أن يقدم للمحاكمة لأنهم سمعوا عبر تنصتهم للحديث ما لم يعجبهم، ولكنه استمر في صموده في متابعة مسعاه.
ولعلّ القارئ يطلع على هذه المقابلات حول أو مع هؤلاء المساجين الذين لا يشك الصحفي براءة بعضهم مثل الشيخ عمر عبد الرحمن، أما السجناء الثلاثة وهم سرحان سرحان الذي اغتال روبرت كيندي المرشح الديموقراطي للرئاسة الأميركية وجون هنكلي الذي حاول اغتيال الرئيس رونالد ريغن فإنهما اعترفا بذلك. وأما الخامس عميل الاستخبارات الأميركية الذي تعامل مع القذافي وهو ادوين ويلسون فإنه يعبر عن وجه الغرابة الغرائبية لعلاقة نظام القذافي مع عميل CIA ادوين ويلسون الذي انتهى به الأمر بالسجن لمدى الحياة في سجون أميركا، هذه نماذج بشرية دخلت السجن الأميركي... هذه أميركا التي على الأقل سمحت لبعضهم بالحديث، فهل هذه الأصوات هي أصوات حرية، أم أصوات استغاثة، أم هي أصوات إدانة وحيرة؟!!
