ولد سنة 1935بالدار البيضاء (عمالة سطات).
اشتغل بالتعليم الابتدائي ابتداء من سنة 1952.
حصل على الإجازة في الفلسفة وعلم النفس وعلم الاجتماع سنة 1967، ثم على دبلوم الدراسات العليا في علم النفس سنة 1975، كما أحرز على دكتوراه الدولة سنة 1988.
يشتغل حاليا قيدوما لكلية الآداب والعلوم الإنسانية – بنمسيك سيدي عثمان – البيضاء.
انضم إلى اتحاد كتاب المغرب سنة 1961.
يتوزع إنتاجه بين القصة القصيرة، الرواية، المقالة الأدبية والبحث في علم النفس والتربية.
نشر أعماله بمجموعة من الصحف والمجلات: التحرير، العلم، دعوة الحق، أقلام، الآداب، الكتاب العربي، الوحدة، أبعاد فكرية، العربي...

هَدْأة ليل لا تشي بوَنَى المستغرق الـمُتعَب، ولا بقومة الحارس المتهجد؛ هدأة الليل غفوة حي يقظ في نوم، نائم في يقظة.... يهمد منه بعض ليتحرك بعض بعض آخر، نبض لا ينقطع، تيار لا يزيد على أن يفتر هنا أو هناك؛ في هذه اللحظة أو تلك، إلا أنه يتململ باستمرار، يتمايل في غفوته، يميل على جوانبه، ويظل دائماً يتردد فيه النفس، ويجري مجرى الدم.... مجرى الحياة.... درب السلطان؛ يرتدي ليلاً مخضرماً، تتراقص فيه على مسافات متقطعة فوهات مضيئة، لمحلات تودع آخر الليل؛ أو تودع بداية النهار، تشي منها الأبواب والشقوق، وما خلف الأقفال والسواقط، بجهد المتوحد المتفرد لذاته وشغل يده وفكره: مطرِّز أو مخرِّم أو مُخيط يستعد لسوقه، حرَّار يناجي خيطه والإبرة، معلم شفاج وصبيته يخلو إلى عجائنه وخمائره؛ همة خضار يصحو إلى مكعباته وصناديقه؛ وأوبة ذي نشوة يستعصي عليه الطريق في إصرار، تنتقل من أمامه على غش منها العلامات ومعالم الطريق والاهتداء. أسراب الخطاطيف، تلك التي تملأ الفضاء زقزقة وضجة كل إشراق أو غروب، تبدو وقد سكن بها آخر الليل على محطاتها فوق الأسلاك أو على الحافات ومداخل الشقوق.... تبدو في استكانتها العابرة، وما تضمره من حيوية ونشاط لإشراق اليوم، أشبه ما تكون بجيش متحفز، يركن إلى راحة موقتة في هدنة قصيرة. درب السلطان، عبير أرض، نسمة فوحها مزاج أبخرة، عذب حديث، دفء جيرة، دعاء صلاة، وفاء عشرة، خليط شجار، خطر وخطو باتئاد وإشراق حالم لنظرة حرَّى من فتحة أو شقة أو ثغرة، هبَّة رذاذ بحرية متباعدة منعشة...
