"ملكة الصمت" لقبها الذي اختارته لتسرد رواية رائعة وحزينة؛ قصتها الشخصية وقصة والدها الكاتب الفرنسي الشهير الذي مات في حادث سيارة وهو في السادسة والثلاثين من عمره. وكانت في الخامسة من عمرها، فلم يتبق لها من أبيها سوى ذكريات قليلة، وبعض الكنوز تتمثل في ساعة وقلم ريشة مائلة وكارت بريدي، كتب عليهابحروف بارزة: ماذا تقول ملكة الصمت؟ وتبدأ الرواية بحادث يتعرض له روجيه المولود فى باريس عام 1925، وعاش بها حتى وقوع الحادث عام 1962، حيث كان يقود سيارته وبجواره تجلس روائية شابة غير مشهورة فاتنة الجمال. وأصدرت نيمييه 8 روايات عن دار نشر "جاليمار" أشهر دار نشر فى أوروبية، وتنتمى إلى روايات السيرة الذاتية. جدير بالذكر أن نيمييه حصلت علي جائزة الميديسيس عام 2004 عن روايتها ملكة الصمت، وهى إحدى أهم الجوائز الأدبية الكبرى فى فرنسا، والتي أنشأها كل من "جالا باريسان" و" جون جيرودو".
