فرأيت أن أدرس الزندقة والشعوبية إذ لم يظهر بعد بحث علمي منهجي متكامل يدرس تياراتها وحركاتها. فقد اقتصر الحديث عن هذه التيارات والحركات الخطيرة على بضعة صفحات متناثرة في الكتب.
