حسن مطلك شاب اخترق كل الحدود الفاصلة بين التجارب التقليدية، والمحرمات، والأشكال المعلبة إنه ضد القوانين التي تحيل المبدعين إلي أبواق وبراميل فارغة وصفحات مكرورة. وحين سئل ذات يوم، ألا يضيرك بأنك كاتب مغمور؟ أجاب: (( أبداً إن هذا يسعدني، وأنا متأن وغير متعجل، وأقول للقراء والنقاد نحن على موعد)).
وجاء الموعد فكانت (دابادا) وما أثارته من ضجة أدبية وثقافية، لما تميزت به من فرادة وتحديث في مستويات السرد واللغة والتقنية والموضوع. ولكن حسن مطلك غاب عن الموعد فقد صدر قرار إعدامه في الثامن عشر من تموز عام 1990م، ليكون غيابه إبداعاً آخر وكشفاً تأويلياً لنصوصه الإبداعية، غاب جسداً، لكنه يبقى بيننا يدهشنا بألفاظه، وجرأته في استخدام اللغة فقد صدرت روايته الثانية (قوة الضحك في أورا) بعد أكثر من عقد على رحيله، والتي لا تقل أهمية عم روايته الأولى لتؤكد مرة أخرى على عمق وقيمة مشروعه الروائي.
وقد عرفته صديقاً ومعلماً إذ جمعتنا منطقة جغرافية واحدة وربما هذا أحد أهم الأسباب التي دعتني إلى دراسته، ولذلك فأن حرصي كان شديداً بأن التزم الحيادية والموضوعية في كل شئ.
وقد قسمت هذه الدراسة على تمهيد وثلاثة فصول تنتهي جميعاً بخاتمة موجزة، حيث تناول التمهيد: حياة الكاتب في بعض تفاصيلها المهمة، وأهم نتاجاته الإبداعية المنشورة منها والمخطوطة. أما الفصول فهي في الزمان والمكان، الشخصيات والحوار والرؤى، وأخيراً في اللغة الشعرية والأسطورة والرمز ورؤيا الكاتب.
