الحمد لله رب العالمين، والصلاة والسلام على رسوله الأمين، المبعوث بالدين القويم، والشرع الحكيم، رحمة للعالمين، والصلاة والسلام على آله وأصحابه والتابعين لهم بإحسان إلى يوم الدين. وبعد: قامت دار السلف للنشر والتوزيع بالرياض لتعضيد التراث السلفي والعمل على إخراجه في ثوب جديد وبسعر مناسب. ورغبت للمحقق نشر "سيرة الإمام أحمد بن حنبل" لأبي الفضل صالح بن أحمد بن حنبل. فأعاد النظر في التحقيق، وأضاف بعض التوثيقات، وصوب التصحيفات التي وردت في بعض الأسماء في الطبعة الثانية. وأشكر الأخ سمير بن أمين الزهيري - المهتم بتخريج الحديث والأثر- لمراجعة الجزء الأول من الكتاب، وما أبداه من ملاحظات استفاد المحقق منها. وأسأل الله عز وجل أن يقبل عملنا، ويوفقنا للعلم النافع والعمل الصالح، وأن نفوز بمحبته ورضاه.
