كتاب رائع لغته آسرة ، لا أدرى لم ليس موجودا هنا .. شخصية أبى الهوى الأسطورية ، التى تأخذ كل شئ بالقوة ، مكانها فى السوق للبيع والشراء ، حبيبته التى خطفها من أبناء عمومتها وترك لهم كل ميراثها ، العائلة التى باعت كل أملاكها لأجل الراقصات والسافرات ، ثم خطفوا أرض بنت عمهم .. تجرى على أبى الهوى الحوادث الجسام ، يتصدى لها واحدة بعد الاخرى ، حتى تضطره الأقدار أن يحتضن ولده ويجرى به بعيدا ، تلحقه طلقه ، يميل بالطفل على رجل تحت ظل شجرة ثم يقول له (( يا أخى الطفل ده أمانة فى رقبتك )) .
