تستأجر "كاتي"–وهي شابة متخصصة في التزيين والديكور حانوتاً في قرية سياحية قديمة. وكانت حالة الحوانيت في تلك القرية يسودها الكساد مما اضطرها إلى الاقتصاد في كل شيء حتى مأكلها لتتمكن من مقاومة الإفلاس، يزيد الأمر سوءاً إن القرية اشترتها شركة استثمارات عقارية وأرادت أن تحدثها وتعيد تجديد مبانيها جلباً لمزيد من العملاء. ويقرر رئيس الشركة رفع إيجارات المحال بزيادة قدرها خمسمائة دولار. كانت كاتي متجهة إلى حانوتها في الصباح على دراجتها، فجأة تنظر للسماء متأملة بسقوط المطر، غير أنها لم تتنبه إلى وجود حجر يعثر طريقها فتقع أمام سيارة يقودها رجل أعمال ثري. كاد أن يدهسها، وهكذا تكون هي الحادثة ممراً لقيام علاقة قوية بين صاحبة الحانوت ورجل الأعمال الذي تكتشف فيما بعد أنه رئيس مجلس إدارة لشركة الاستثمارات العقارية. ترى ماذا سيحدث؟
