ولد عام 1944 في الخيام.
تخرج في جامعة بيروت العربية - قسم اللغة العربية وآدابها.
عمل بالتدريس في المرحلة الثانوية في صيدا وبيروت, ومايزال، كما عمل في الصحافة الثقافية، ويعمل حاليا مدير تحرير لمجلة شهرية منوعة تصدر عن مؤسسة عرين غرافيكس.
له مساهمات عديدة في صحف ومجلات تصدر في لبنان والخارج.

في هذه المجموعة نعثر على الغريب والفتّان في مفاجآت متتالية هي قصائد غير متوقعة وتملك كل الذي جعل من حسن عبدالله شاعراً يتهافت الجمهور على أعماله. نبذة النيل والفرات: "على الطريق دائماً على الطريق، أرى بقايا رجل كأنه صديق مر صباحاً من هنا، ثم اختفى بسرعة، عند فم المضيق، هل كان مثلي، رجلاً محترماً، ولائق، وهل رأى مثلي، إلى لذائذ الدنيا بعين سارق؟ أمشي على خُطاه؛ في كل ما أبصرُهُ، في كل ما أشعرُهُ أراه، هنا عبر حُراً خفيفاً مرحاً رشيق، هنا عثر بحجر على الطريق هنا شعر، بأنه بلا رفيق". الشعر معزوفة الحزن على أوتار القلب، وأنشودة الفرح على قيثارة النفس، وآية عشق العاشقين، وسبيل وصف المادحين. وهذه باقة شعرية؛ دونها "حسن عبد الله" في هذا الكتاب ناسجاً من كلماتها خيوطاً تجمع بين أحاسيسه الكامنة؛ ولسانه البليغ في قول وكتابة الشعر.
