يعتبر الأستاذ/ فاضل عباس البيرمي، من شعراء الحداثة، الذين اهتموا بالشعر النبطي في دولة البحرين، ونشرت حصيلته الضخمة في سلسلة موسومة (سلسلة ديوان الشعر)، مكونة من عشرة أجزاء، وتحتوي على ما يقارب الألف قصيدة من الشعر النبطي. ولاشك أن هذه السلسلة تُعد من المصادر الأصيلة للشعر النبطي والفصيح التي يحرص عليها كل باحث في الأدب الشعبي، لذا فإن جعل هذه السلسلة في متناول الجميع بطبعة حديثة أمر في غاية الأهمية وكنت أتمنى أن يصاحب هذه الطبعة تحقيق ومراجعة، وخاصة أنها تمت بتقنيات الطباعة الحديثة ويُعد خاليًا من الأخطاء الطباعية. وقد رشح الشاعر الأستاذ/ فاضل البيرمي، أن تكون الطبعة الثانية مستفيضة في شروح المفردات والعناصر الفلكلورية حتى تعم الفائدة أقطار الوطن العربي بصفة عامة، وأهل البحرين بصفة خاصة، كما اقترح أيضًا أن تكون هناك طبعات أخرى باللغات الأجنبية حتى ينتشر الشعر النبطي بشكل عام على مستوى العالم، لتكون هناك دراسات عربية وأجنبية تهتم بهذا اللون من الشعر، وخاصة أنه يضاهي شعر الفصحى من حيث النظم والقافية، وليس هذا فحسب فأحيانًا تكون القافية للشطر الأول أيضًا، وهذا أمر ليس باليسير بالنسبة للشعر النبطي. ويقول الشاعر البيرمي إن وضع هذا المصدر الغزير للشعر النبطي بين يدي الباحثين أمر يحسب للناشر ولكنه لا يريد أن تكون الصبغة التجارية هي الغالبة في إخراج المنتج الثقافي الذي يجب أن يستوفي ما يستحقه من الاهتمام بمؤلفه والتدقيق في مضمونه واستشارة المتخصصين في دراسته قبل طباعته ونشره حتى يكون مرجعًا أصيلاً يضاف للمكتبة العربية ليستفيد منه القارئ العادي والباحث المتخصص على حد سواء، ويكون في متناول القارئ البسيط أيضًا.
