نبذة النيل والفرات: هذا الكتاب الصغير في حجمه عظيم في محتواه، يسلط الضوء على صفحات منسية ومفقودة من التاريخ السياسي لمنطقة حوض الخليج العربي، ويتتبع تاريخ حكام جزيرة البحرين القدماء الذين كانوا حكاماً فيها خلال تلك الفترة من عام 1120هـ تقريباً وحتى العام 1166هـ، فهؤلاء العرب الذين تاريخهم هذا الكتاب عرفوا في المصادر التاريخية المختلفة بعرب "آل نصور وآل حرم"، وهما عشيرتان عربيتان من عشائر الخليج العربي تحالفاً معاً للسيطرة على جزيرة البحرين واختلفا طمعاً فيها، وتحول خلافهم هذا إلى صراع وحروب استمرت بينهم، خسروا بسببها سيادتهم في جزيرة البحرين والخليج، فاتحين بذلك المجال لقبائل أخرى للظهور والسيادة...! في حين أنهم نقلوا هذه العداوة التي نشأت بينهم في جزيرة البحرين معهم إلى سواحل فارس، وأورثوها لأبنائهم وأحفادهم فتقاتلوا فيما بينهم لسنين عديدة. إن هذا الكتاب يأخذنا في رحلة شيقة نتعقب من خلالها تاريخ هؤلاء العرب المغيبين عن المشهد التاريخي الخليجي، مع العلم بأن دورهم كان عظيماً وبارزاً... لا بل وأساسي في صياغة ورسم الخريطة السياسية المعاصرة لتوزيع القوى في منطقة حوض الخليج العربي، لذلك نعتقد دراسة تاريخهم ستتجلى بعض معالم الصورة التاريخية الغامضة وتصبح أكثر ووضوحاً، مما سيساعد في ربط ماضي الخليج بحاضره ومستقبله، ولمعرفة من هم هؤلاء العرب.
