جاء الكتاب الذي بين أدينا بعنوان: الأنثروبولوجيا الميدانية: الإجراءات والتطبيقات في ستة فصول بحثية ناقش الفصل الأول: الأنثروبولوجيا والبحث العلمي، والتعريف بالعلم كنشاط معرفي، ثم جاء الفصل الثاني ليناقش: المصطلح والبحث العلمي الاجتماعي في ضوء عدة مصطلحات أو مفاهيم ذات صلة بالدراسات الميدانية. أما الفصل الثالث فجاء بعنوان الدراسات الحقلية الأنثروبولوجية وأهميتها مناقشاً البدايات المبكرة للعمل الميداني الإثنوجرافي، والوضعية الفرنسية كمدخل للدراسات الحقلية، وجمع البيانات والمعلومات الإثنوجرافية، وجاء الفصل الرابع بعنوان: البحوث الأنثروبولوجية: الإجراءات والتنفيذ مناقشاً لفن الكتابة الأنثروبولوجية للباحث الأنثروبولوجي وإجراءات البحث الأنثروبولوجي وتنفيذه، أما الفصل الخامس فجاء مناقشاً دور الأنثروبولوجيا في دراسة موضوع الثقافة والشخصية على أساس أن موضوع الثقافة والشخصية من الموضوعات الهامة التي تبنى على أساسها أساليب وقواعد التنشئة الاجتماعية وكيفية بناء الشخصية الأساسية في المجتمع الإنساني، ثم جاء الفصل السادس والأخير بعنوان: العشوائيات الحضرين والبحث الأنثروبولوجي كمنموذج ثان لدراسة حقلية أنثروبولوجية.
