وتذكرت البرتقال المصلوب كالمسيح وكذلك تذكرت الطفل نفسه والذي لقيته منذ هذه اللحظة بطفل البرتقال، عادت الفتاة من تذكرها عندما سألتها السيدة:
هل لك برؤية كفه من فضلك؟ ، ها هي رغبتها تتحقق، وها هو أول مطلب بقراءة الكف وعلى يد من؟! يد من بحثت عنه طويلاً.. لذا أجابت في سرعة: نعم.. أعطني يده، ثم نظرت إلى الأم وسألت:
