Book Description
يجمع العمل خلاصة الصراعات العلمية التى دارت بين الطبع والتطبع؛وهل تتحدد صفات البشر من خلال جيناتهم (الطبع) أم من خلال البيئة (التطبع)؟حيث صار الصراع قويًا عندما تم اكتشاف الجينيوم البشرى الذى يحتوى على عدد قليل نسبيًا من الجينات، فهناك من العلماء من زعم بأنه ليس هناك ما يكفي من الجينات لإحداث التغيرات الطارئة على البشر، أما مؤلف الكتاب فيجزم بأنه يمكن الجمع بينهم، وأن الجينات مهيئة لأن تأخذ دورها من التطبع، بحسب المؤلف أن لينين قد أدرك في عشرينيات القرن الماضى، أن نجاح الحزب الشيوعي يعتمد على الفرضية التى تنادى بان الطبع البشرى من الممكن تدريبه على نظام جديد، فكان يقول ان الانسان يمكن تقويمه ويمكن جعل الإنسان على النحو الذي نريده ،فان أغلب الصراع الماركسي كان يدور حول مسألة الوقت الذي سوف يستغرق في إنتاج هذا الانسان الجديد،وهذا الهدف لم يكن له أى معنى ما لم تكن الطبيعة البشرية طروقة تماما ويسهل تشكيلها .
فان تاريخ الصراع بين الطبع والتطبع ،لم ينتصر فيه احدًا منهما، فخلاصة التجارب على مختلف الكائنات أظهرت أن الجينات هي خلاصة المشاعر، فهى السبل التى تكون من خلالها المخلوقات مرنة وكأنها خادم للتجربة، ويخلص المؤلف في نهاية الكتاب الى انه على طول الحياة يكون الطبع عبر التطبع.
