لا شك أن احتكاك المغول بالحضارة الإسلامية أدي إلي الحد بعض الشيء من همجيتهم وكذلك الوقوف بثبات داخل منظومة الحضارة, وبدأت التأثيرات الإسلامية تظهر علي مناح عدة عند المغول - لاسيما مغول فارس- وكذلك أخذ المسلمون عن المغول بعض ما استحسنوه وارتضاه دينهم.
ومما يستلفت النظر أن الإسلام أخذ يستعيد مكانته رويداً رويداً في البلاد التي خضعت للمغول، ولم يلبث ان حاز من النجاح ما لم يظفر به البوذيون والمسيحيون، فعلي الرغم من مصرع أحمد تكودار (إيلخان دولة مغول فارس) في عام 782هـ/ 1283م بسبب اعتناقه للإسلام، فإن أول ما قام به غازان محمود ( 695- 704هـ/ 1295- 1304م) من أعمال أنه أعتنق الإسلام وجعله الدين الرسمي لدولة مغول فارس، ولم يلبث أن أقبل الموظفون ورجال الدين من المغول علي إعتناق الإسلام، وأنقطع ما كان يربط إيلخانات فارس بمغول الوطن الأم (منغوليا) من علاقات فاستقر الإسلام بين المغول في فارس والأقاليم التابعة لهم.
أما عن أهمية الموضوع وجدته فتكمنان في إلقاء الضوء علي النظم الاجتماعية والدينية لمغول فارس والتركيز عليها وعلي تأثرها بالحضارة الإسلامية لاسيما أن معظم المؤرخين كان اهتماههم منصباً علي النواحي السياسية للمغول وحروبهم الخارجية، ولم تلق نظمهم الاجتماعية والدينية القدر الكافي من الاهتمام.
وسوف يكون تناول هذا الموضع من خلال دراسة تمهيدية و أربعة فصول هي الفصل الأول: المغول من قيام الإمبراطورية حتي نهاية الدولة الإيلخانية "دولة مغول فارس" ( 600- 736هـ/ 1203- 1336م)، الفصل الثاني: النظم الإجتماعية لمغول فارس (656- 735هـ/ 1258- 1335م)، الفصل الثالث: النظم الدينية لمغول فارس (656- 735هـ/ 1258- 1335م)، الفصل الرابع: أبرز مؤثرات الحضارة الإسلامية علي النظم الإجتماعية والدينية لمغول فارس ( 656- 735هـ/ 1258- 1333م).
