هذا الكتاب هو الحلقة الأولى وسلسلة البحوث والدراسات يفتح باباً جديداً، في البحث والدراسة والتأليف؛ وقد لمس المؤلف فراغاً بين عوالم البحوث، يشغله النص النحوي غفلاً مهجوراً، لم يحاول أحد أن يضع له خطة لتحليله ونقده، على كثرة ما صدر عن كتب النحو، والمؤلفات المعنية ببحثه ودراسته. ولذلك، جاء هذا الكتاب الذي بين أيدينا تحت عنوان "تحليل النص النحوي - منهج ونموذج" في ثلاثة فصول: أولهما منهج التحليل، حيث تعرض المؤلف لما في الأدب وغيره، من أساليب التحليل للنصوص، وما كان في التاريخ من لمسات للنص النحوي، والخطوات التي ينبغي للمحلل إتباعها، لتحقيق المراد، وقد تمايزت هذه الخطوات بالوقوف عند العنصر الفكري، لتلمّس هيكل التفكير وتوزيع مواده، ثم عند العنصر التعبيري لتبيّن وسائل الأداء لتلك المواد، في التعبير وخصائصه ومميزاته، وأخيراً عند القيم العلمية والفكرية والمنهجية، التي أبرزتها مراحل التحليل. أما الفصل الثاني جعل للنص النحوي المختار، فكان بضع صفحات من مستهل "كتاب" سيبويه، ولما عرف بصاحب النص، وبالمصنَّف الذي يحويه، مفصلاً خصائصه المنهجية في التأليف، وعلاقة النص به كخطبة بدائية قاصدة، والفصل الثالث ضم التنفيذ العملي، للفصل الأول من البحث، في ثنايا ما حواه الفصل الثاني من النص النحوي، وهنا رسم الهيكلّ الفكري للمقدمة، كما وصلت إلينا من التاريخ، وتوزيعّ المواد بين تأصيل وتفريع، وإجمال وتفصيل، ثم بين منهجّها المعتمد على ألوان من السماع والقياس.
